Regional and Country Councils
Aim of the Regional and Country Councils
The Sustainable Markets Initiative's Regional and Country Councils support their regions and countries, with the assistance of Task Force members, to implement the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a particular focus on economic, private sector and investment drivers at global, regional, and local levels. They set individual targets tailored to their region and/or country and explore local opportunities with global private sector partners, national governments, development finance institutions (DFIs) and multilateral development banks (MDBs) to scale technologies, solutions, innovation, projects, purchase power and investments.
