We are an electronic waste recycling foundation located in Colombia, We take care of the collection, transport and treatment of waste electrical and electronic equipment, fluorescent lamps, cells and batteries, with the aim of reducing the impact that its components generate on the environment. In addition to recycling, thanks to this waste we can invest a large part of our profits in foundations for children, animals, abandoned elderly and reforestation.

How do we do it? With a separation and classification of the different compounds and substances, reincorporating them in new productive chains.

We work hand in hand with the Company LITO S. A. S. , they provide us national coverage to pick up and process E-waste from companies all over the country. Thanks to this we are now leaders and the only foundation with this business model that makes us 100% self sustainable.

Thanks to the proper ¨urban mining ¨, we help by reincorporating the compounds into productive chains, avoiding the need for companies to go to the mountains to mine and reducing the impact of this practice.

We have supported 90+ foundations nationwide, providing them with medicine, computers, school supplies, food, and different things they need in order to keep on helping communities, all fully funded by the e-waste use and disposition.

Project impact

Our work has an impact on the environment, because we are avoiding exploitation of the mineral resources that are still on earth and the other negative impacts this has, by reincorporating the elements like glass and metal that are already available on cellphones, computers and all other E-waste elements that are not currently in use because of planned obsolescence or if they are broken.

We impact on the people because with this electronic waste recycling process we are helping people take more consciousness on recycling and the right disposal of this elements, Colombians are more conscious that this correct disposition can help not only the environment by avoiding them to go to the trash, but also helping those in need. because by recycling it we invest 100% of the money we get on helping those in need.

With the Fundacion Puntos Verdes, each Kilogram that the company accumulates translates into points that can be redeemed to make donations to help different social or environmental causes (the elderly, fauna, children or reforestation). To do this, it is necessary to follow the following steps:

  1. Register on our Website: www.fundacionpuntosverdes.com

  2. Deliver your electronic waste

  3. Accumulate points from January 1 to December 31

  4. Choose one of the social causes linked to the Green Points Foundation to donate your points

  5. The Green Points Foundation will communicate with the elected Foundation to find out the specific need of the foundation (food, hygiene items, blankets, school kits, medicines, activities, etc.)

  6. The donation of the elements will be made in the company of the donor company or person.

The disposal service for your WEEE has no cost. If you are in Medellín, Bogotá, Cali, Bucaramanga or Barranquilla and you have more than 250 kg we can collect at no cost at the door of your home or business. If the person/ company is outside this cities, we talk to the environmental authority and we carry out campaigns to reach all corners of Colombia.

Project timeline

By 2023 We are projecting Fundacion Puntos Verdes to grow in Colombia, being able to create consciousness and improve E-waste collection of companies and homes by 200%

Also, by 2025 We are projecting to go to the next level by opening the foundation in different countries in Latin America such as Peru, Brasil and Ecuador. Countries that we can help and support by reducing e-waste contamination, promoting recycling, generating jobs and helping foundations with the process and model we have developed and perfected for years.
