&Green provides long-term private structured credit to frontrunning corporates and producers (farmers and ranchers) to lead the transformation of major tropical commodity supply chains which need to transition to deforestation-free and sustainable practices over the course of the coming decade.
&Green’s investments aim to help protect millions of hectares of tropical forest and create climate benefits in the millions of tonnes of CO2 equivalent while fostering the social inclusion and climate resilience of hundreds of thousands of small-scale producers in the supply chains targeted.
With five years of operating history since &Green started its journey, SAIL Ventures (the fund manager) has deployed $165 million (USD) into climate leading opportunities around the world. Brazil and Colombia combined make up more than 50% of the portfolio as of second quarter 2023, with &Green expecting approximately 60-70% of exposure to be in Latin America at full maturity.
&Green is aiming to build a track record of delivering risk-adjusted returns attractive for long-term focused investors together with potential outsized impact which address key climate and biodiversity global challenges. It has already built a portfolio of eight projects and identified a strong pipeline of $175 million (USD).
