SMI Chair Brian Moynihan and CEO Jennifer Jordan-Saifi, M.V.O., opened the Summit by reflecting on the year's achievements and challenges. This was followed by a session on the SMI's Buildings and Data Centres Pathfinder, with Trane Technologies Chair and CEO Dave Regnery among the leaders at the table, examining how the infrastructure behind the AI boom can be built with sustainable considerations in mind.

Later in the day, The Honourable E.P. Chet Greene, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Barbuda Affairs, Government of Antigua and Barbuda, joined leaders directly to discuss November's Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.

A session on the SMI's Oceans and Fisheries Pathfinder followed which was led by Rupert Howes, CEO of the Marine Stewardship Council, focusing on the health of ocean economies and the private capital needed to sustain them.

The Summit also shared updates spanning the SMI's China Council, private capital mobilization, carbon dioxide removal, and sustainable food systems. Bob Mumgaard, Commonwealth Fusion Systems Co-Founder and CEO updated on the Pathfinders' progress this year and set out the SMI’s priorities heading into 2027.
