Few technologies carry as much potential as artificial intelligence, and few come with as much responsibility.

This week, His Majesty King Charles III convened senior leaders from, Anthropic, Google DeepMind, and NVIDIA at Dumfries House in Scotland, alongside UK government officials, Jennifer Jordan-Saifi, M.V.O., MBA, CEO of the Sustainable Markets Initiative, and many SMI members, to discuss how AI can be developed safely and in service of people and the planet.

AI can accelerate the very work the SMI and its members are doing: modeling climate risk, optimizing energy grids, and speeding up scientific discovery. Realizing that promise means building the technology with safety and international cooperation at its core.

It is the same instinct that shaped the Sustainable Markets Initiative: convene the people building the future, and help them build it well.
